- Dr. Raker has attended over 1200 hours of courses and seminars concerning forensic pathology, testifying and medicolegal death investigation. The death investigation courses included many areas in which a Coroner must be knowledgeable such as arson, homicide, suicide, types of wounds, child abuse, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, anthropology, and multiple fatality incidents to name a few. Dr. Raker has taken some of these courses at the FBI headquarters and the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology and from well-known experts in the forensics field such as Dr. Henry C. Lee, Dr. Thomas T. Noguchi, Dr. Michael M. Baden, Dr. Werner U. Spitz and Dr. Cyril H. Wecht.
