- Tim Bubb is a Newark native and graduate of Newark High School. He received an undergraduate degree in Communications from Ohio University, and graduated from the National Chamber of Commerce Institutes for Organizational Management at Notre Dame University.
- Married to Marianne for 32-years with three grown sons and two grand daughters and a grandson.

- Began his community career working at the Newark Area Chamber of Commerce in 1974 with longtime Chamber of Commerce Executive Director C. Allen Milliken.
- Worked to bring new business and industry to the community, and established a wide range of business support programs while at the Chamber.
- In the early 1980's served three years on the Commander's Staff at the former Newark Air Force Station.
- Dedicated to upgrading literacy through better library service in the community. Library Trustee for 20-years and President for 10-years. Led the community effort to fund and construct a new $9-million state-of-the-art Library in downtown Newark. Worked to improve regional library service with new library facilities in Hebron and Johnstown.
- In June 2002 received the Newark High School "Alumni Citizenship" Award at the annual NHS Commencement ceremonies at White Field.
- In October 2003 received the prestigious "Friend of Agriculture" Award from the Licking County Farm Bureau Federation.
- Served as Newark's elected City Treasurer from 2002 till 2004, handling all City income and investments.
- Elected as Licking County Commissioner in 2004, and currently serving as President of the County Board of Commissioners.

- Served as a Board member and President of the Land of Legend Festival.
- Involved with youth sports and instrumental in helping bring the Babe Ruth World Series and World Friendship Tournament to Newark.
- Former Secretary and a seven-year Board member of Licking County Crime Stoppers.
- Thirty-year member of Newark Lions Club. Past Board member and Club President in 1979.
- Current Treasurer and longtime volunteer for the Licking County Courthouse Christmas Lighting Committee.
- Current Board member of the Salvation Army Advisory Board.
- President of the Licking County 2008 Bicentennial Celebration.
- Treasurer of the Heart of Ohio Resource Conservation and Development District.

County Planning, Multi County Juvenile Detention Facility, Licking County Area Transportation Study (LCATS), Retention and Expansion, Records Commission, WIA Board, CFLP Solid Waste District, Insurance Committee, and several others. |
