- Commissioner Tim Bubb is a Licking County native and graduate of Newark High School. He received an undergraduate degree in Communications from Ohio University in 1974. He also graduated from the National Chamber of Commerce Institute for Business and Organizational Management at Notre Dame University.
- Tim and Marianne Bubb have been married since 1976. They have three grown sons, two granddaughters and a grandson.

- Commissioner Bubb began his community career working as a Staff Executive at the Newark Area Chamber of Commerce in 1974. He worked for and mentored with longtime Chamber of Commerce Executive Director C. Allen Milliken.
- During his eight year Chamber of Commerce career Bubb worked to bring new business and industry to the community, and established a wide range of business support programs while at the Chamber.
- In the early 1980's he served three years on the Commander's Staff at the former Newark Air Force Station, serving in a communications capacity.
- Bubb has been dedicated to improving literacy through better public library service in the community. He served as a Newark Public Library Trustee for 20-years and Board President for 10-years. In 1998 he led the community effort to fund and construct a new $9-million state-of-the-art Library in downtown Newark. Tim also worked to improve regional library service with new library facilities in Hebron and Johnstown.
- In June 2002 NHS graduate Bubb received the Newark High School "Alumni Citizenship" Award at the annual Newark High School Commencement ceremonies at White Field.
- In October 2003 Tim received the prestigious "Friend of Agriculture" Award from the Licking County Farm Bureau Federation.
- Bubb was overwhelmingly elected Newark City Treasurer in 2002, and served three years in that capacity handling all City income tax income and investment of public funds.
- Elected as Licking County Commissioner in 2004, Commissioner Bubb has been a leader in County government and served as President of the Board of Commissioners since August of 2005.

| Community and Professional Involvement |

- Having grown up in this community and returning here to work after college, Commissioner Bubb has a long list of community involvements and achievements. He served as a Board Member and President of the Land of Legend Festival. He was a driving force in bringing the first Babe Ruth World Series and later the World Friendship Tournament to Newark's Don Edwards Park.
- When Licking County Crime Stoppers was formed, Commissioner Bubb served as Board Secretary for seven years.
- Commissioner Bubb has been an active member of the Newark Lions Club since 1976, and served as Club President in 1979. Since 1975 he has been a leader and Treasurer of the annual Courthouse Christmas Lighting Committee, keeping the tradition alive for County residents.
- In 2007 Commissioner Bubb joined the local Salvation Army Advisory Board. In addition to supporting community outreach, he was also heavily involved in the $3-milliion community fund raising effort to modernize the east Newark facility and add a new wing to increase service to homeless families and individuals.
- In 2008 Commissioner Bubb led the effort to form the County Bicentennial Commission, and served as Chairman of the Commission. The group sponsored more than forty major events during the County Bicentennial year.
- In a professional capacity Commissioner Bubb serves as Chairman of the Tax & Finance Committee of the County Commissioners Association of Ohio (CCAO). He also serves a Board Member of Counties of Ohio Risk Sharing Authority (CORSA,) CCAO's Insurance Affiliate.
- Licking County Commissioner related involvements include service on these groups...President of the County Transit Board, County Planning Commission, Past President and Director of the Multi County Juvenile Detention Facility, Chairman of the County Retention and Expansion Committee, Chairman of the County Records Commission, member of the Region Seven WIA Board,
- Past President and Board member of the Coshocton, Fairfield, Licking and Perry (CFLP) Solid Waste District, County Insurance Committee, and several others.
- Having grown up in Licking County and educated here as well, Commissioner Bubb takes great pride in his lifetime of community achievement and involvement.
