| ROBERT H. HOOVER is the judge of the Licking County Court of Common Pleas, Probate-Juvenile Division, an office he has held since January of 1996. He has been an attorney for thirty-three years. A graduate of Muskingum College and The Ohio State University College of Law, Judge Hoover previously served seven years as an Assistant Licking County Prosecuting Attorney, seven years as a juvenile court referee (magistrate) and six years as a trial attorney in private practice. He served in the United States Army Military Police Corps prior to becoming an attorney. Judge Hoover has been a leader in numerous youth and family serving organizations for three decades, is a former board member of the Ohio Association of Juvenile and Family Court Judges and has served as a faculty member for the Ohio Judicial College for more than seven years. He, his wife, Kathy, and teenage grandson live in eastern Licking County near the original homestead or farm which his great, great grandfather established in 1837. |
