LICKING COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
Attorney VisitsAttorneys are permitted to visit clients housed in the Justice Center 7 days a week during the following hours only. Attorneys are required to present their current Bar ID before being permitted into the facility.
How to look up an inmate's visitation scheduleTo look up an inmate's visitation schedule, you will need to make sure you know where the inmate is being housed in our facility. To do this you must first click on the Jail Inmate List on the Sheriff's Office site, and then scroll down until you find the inmate's name and note their Housing Unit and Bed Number. Then close that window and click on the Jail Inmate Visitation link and click on the Visitation Schedule. At the bottom of the table are tabs indicating each Housing Unit, click on the appropriate Housing Unit, find the inmate's bed number and wherever it falls in the table indicates their visit times. The top of the table indicates the day of the week; the left side of the table indicates the time. The visits are all only 1/2 hour long and the inmates all have one day, one evening, and one weekend visit. Remember, they can be moved in the facility at any time so you should always check to make sure their visit times haven't changed.

Jail VisitationIt is the policy of the Licking County Sheriff's Office to encourage inmates to maintain contact with their families and friends through regular visits. Visiting is scheduled to allow such access on a regular basis, limited only by staff demands and the visiting schedule. All inmates shall be afforded the opportunity for regularly scheduled visitation, including daytime, evening and weekend hours, except where restrictions apply.
Visitation is provided for inmates three times a week in 30-minute intervals. disciplinary inmates are provided visitation one time per week, on Saturday or Sunday, with family members only.
The cancellation of regular visitation hours due to emergency situations or severe weather conditions will resume with the next scheduled visitation as soon as the Jail Administrator clears such situations.
Rules for Visitors
CommissaryAll inmates are provided basic hygiene items when booked into our facility. Indigent inmates are provided basic hygiene items, paper and envelopes during their entire incarceration.
When time and staff permit, commissary service will be provided two times a week.
Inmates have access to phones in all modules. Phone cards are available in $5 increments + tax. If an inmate cannot purchase a phone card, they are able to make collect calls. Inmates are not permitted to use facility phones and we do not take messages for inmates.
Commissary money may be brought to the facility or mailed to inmates. Cash only will be accepted at the Visitation Lobby and the Jail Lobby. Money orders and payroll checks must be mailed to the inmate. The Visitation Lobby is open Tuesday through Sunday from 8AM to 10PM. The Jail Lobby is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

There is no limitation to the number of letters that an inmate may send and receive. Indigent inmates will receive postage and stationary to send 2 letters per week. Incoming and outgoing mail is subject to search for contraband. Incoming and outgoing mail must include a full return address. Mail received must be written in English. Any incoming mail not following these guidelines will be marked, "Return to Sender" and placed back in the outgoing mail.
Inmates may receive cards, letters, money (in the form of money orders or payroll checks preferred), and photographs in the mail. Cards and photographs may not exceed 5" x 7" in size. Polaroids, nude or partially nude photographs are not permitted. Inmates may not receive packages.

MedicalInmates have access to medical, dental and mental health services. No inmate is denied access to these services due to inability to pay.
Inmates receive a physical and mental health assessment within 14 days of incarceration. The Facility Physician determines all other services. A dentist is "in-house" every 2 weeks and a psychiatrist is "in-house" every week.
