Position Description:

Dispatchers are responsible for: answer incoming calls from citizens requiring law enforcement services, utilize radio equipment to dispatch appropriate officers to calls for service, provide updated information to officers in a timely fashion, complete records searches using various software applications and complete data entry tasks.

Brief Description:

The Licking County Sheriff’s Office is seeking qualified candidates to build an eligibility list for current and future positions as Law Enforcement Dispatchers. Licking County Sheriff’s Office Dispatchers work in a state of the art emergency dispatch center and provide law enforcement dispatch services to multiple public safety agencies in Licking County. Licking County provides competitive salary and benefit packages to employees.

Job Prerequisites:

Minimum Qualifications: 21 years of age, US citizen, valid Ohio driver’s license, high school diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications (Agency/Dept. Qualifications): Upon hire, candidates must complete the agency Field Training Program for Dispatchers and obtain additional job related certifications.

Compensation:

$42,713.63 (probationary)

$44,848.96 (after 1 year)
