Position Description:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Foster care case management, recruitment, monitoring and counseling to parents and foster care providers; conducts in-depth assessments; identifies resources for families and children; conducts foster parent training classes; provides pre- and post-placement guidance; conducts foster care and kinship home visits, support groups, and recognition activities; represents the agency in court; completes court and child summaries. Conducts community outreach services to educate the community and other social service agencies about foster care and kinship services. As scheduled, performs on-call emergency children services on evenings, weekends and holidays.

Brief Description:

Licking County Job & Family Services is currently seeking a compassionate, dedicated individual to fill the position of Foster Care Coordinator with Licking County Children Services.

Job Prerequisites:

Minimum Qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or related field. Experience working with at-risk families in areas such as foster care, child welfare, substance abuse, mental health, and behavior management preferred. Knowledge of community resources helpful.

Candidates must have a successful drug screen, background check, and driving record as determined by Licking County Government.

Salary:  $16.84 – $23.78/hour (plus applicable educational supplement)
