The Board of Commissioners of Licking County, Ohio (the "Board") hereby provides notice of the adoption of the following Resolution #87-162A, adopted by a majority of the Board at its October 18, 2016 meeting:
IN THE MATTER OF IMPLEMENTING SECTIONS 3735.65 THROUGH 3735.70 OF THE OHIO REVISED CODE, ESTABLISHING AND DESCRIBING THE BOUNDARIES OF A COMMUNITY REINVESTMENT AREA IN ETNA TOWNSHIP, LICKING COUNTY, OHIO TO BE KNOWN AS ETNA TOWNSHIP COMMUNITY REINVESTMENT AREA (CRA#3), DESIGNATING A HOUSING OFFICER TO ADMINISTER THE PROGRAM, AND CREATING A COMMUNITY REINVESTMENT AREA HOUSING COUNCIL AND A TAX INCENTIVE REVIEW COUNCIL.
The Etna Township Community Reinvestment Area (CRA#3) consists of +/-748 acres in and around the four quadrants of the Interstate 70 and State Route 310 interchange. The CRA#3 provides for, among other items, possible property tax exemptions of: A) Up to, and including, twelve (12) years, and up to, and including, one hundred per cent (100%) for the remodeling of existing commercial and industrial facilities and upon which the cost of remodeling is at least Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00), as described in Ohio Revised Code §3735.67, the term and percentage of which shall be negotiated on a case-by-case basis in advance of remodeling occurring. B) Up to, and including fifteen (15) years, and up to, and including, one hundred per cent (100%) for the construction of new commercial and industrial facilities, the term and percentage of which shall be negotiated on a case-by-case basis in advance of construction occurring.
