District 17 of the Ohio Public Works Commission (OPWC) Integrating Committee Seeks Private Sector Representatives

District 17 of the Ohio Public Works Commission (OPWC) is seeking nominations to fill the seat of a Private Sector Representative and an alternate for a three-year term, beginning June 2018. The District 17 Integrating Committee meetings are held approximately 6-8 times per year at the Donald D. Hill Administration Building in Newark. The Private Sector Representative should have experience in local infrastructure planning and economic development and should represent the interests of private industry within the district. The Private Sector Representative must reside in one of the following counties: Delaware, Fairfield, Knox, Licking, Morrow, or Pickaway and must not be a public employee. The Private Sector Representative and an alternate will be elected by a majority of the members of the District Integrating Committee tentatively scheduled for June 15, 2018.

The District 17 Integrating Committee is responsible for allocating the funds made available through the Ohio Public Works Commission to finance public infrastructure capital improvement projects for local subdivisions in Delaware, Fairfield, Knox, Licking, Morrow, and Pickaway Counties. The volunteer Committee is made up of county, city, village, township, and private sector representatives.
