Here is what you can (and cannot) put into a Licking County Recycling drop off bin! Details are listed below.
PLASTIC BOTTLES AND JUGS: Plastic bottles and containers that have a neck
on them or that have a base wider than its top (no matter what the
number of plastic it is) are accepted. Plastic lids are acceptable. Please empty, rinse, and crush all your plastics to help save space
and to help prevent pests from being attracted to the containers. Please NO butter containers, cottage cheese containers, plastic cutlery, plastic cups, plastic bags or sheeting, or other plastic that does not have a shape with a base wider than the lid.
GLASS: Glass bottles and jars of all colors are accepted. Please empty and rinse glass, and remove lids to recycle separately. Please NO window glass, glass cups, or light bulbs.
CARTONS: Cartons and juice box containers are accepted. Please empty, rinse, and crush all your cartons to help save space and to help prevent pests from being attracted to the containers. Remove and recycle plastics lids separately. Please NO Straws.
METAL CANS: Aluminum, steel, and tin cans are accepted. Please empty, rinse, and crush (if possible) your cans to help save space and help prevent pests from being attracted to the containers. Cans that are accepted include aluminum beverage cans, steel food cans, and even aerosol containers (please remove and dispose of plastic spray piece and lid).
PAPER PRODUCTS AND CARDBOARD: Paper including computer or notebook paper, inserts, mail, magazines/catalogs, phone books, paperboard (cereal or pasta boxes, beverage cases, etc.) and cardboard is accepted. Please break down and flatten cardboard to save space in the bins. Please NO greasy pizza boxes, dirty paper plates, and napkins.
